Director of the movie Maria by Callas, released in more than 45 countries, most viewed french film in 2018, creator of a first exhibition at the Seine Musicale in Paris, writer of three books “Maria by Callas” (Ed. Assouline), “Callas Confidential” (Ed. La Martinière), “Lettres & Mémoires” (Ed. Albin Michel), Tom Volf is recognised as one of the true experts of the famous opera singer.  He has dedicated 5 years to research to assemble a high number of unreleased and worldwide archives which constitute the core of his work thus allowing Maria Callas to express herself throughout his different works. A unique occasion for the public to discover certain footage which were thought lost for more than 40 years. Tom is also the founder of the Maria Callas endowment fund, the first official and non-profit fund dedicated to preserving the personal archives of the artist and building a future Maria Callas museum in Paris.

In 2019, he directs Monica Bellucci’s debuts in theatre with « Maria Callas – Lettres & Mémoires ».  The piece is to be performed again in Paris in 2020 in the Théâtre des Bouffes Parisiens before an international tour.
